About Me

My name is Zabir. I am a PhD researcher working on agricultural innovation, seed systems, and farmer behavior in developing economies. Alongside my academic work, I serve as an Assistant Director at the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC), where I am involved in policy-level activities related to agricultural development and seed systems.

My research focuses on understanding how farmers evaluate agricultural technologies and how institutional and socio-economic factors shape their adoption decisions and satisfaction. In particular, my doctoral research examines farmer satisfaction with rice seed systems in Bangladesh, with special attention to the differences between public and private seed sources.

My broader interests lie in agricultural development, technology adoption, and the institutional environment that shapes rural economies. I am particularly interested in combining empirical research with real-world policy insights, especially in the context of agricultural institutions and public sector interventions.

Alongside my academic work, I am also interested in communicating research ideas to students and early researchers. I am the author of the book “গবেষণা ১০১ (Research 101)”, which introduces the fundamentals of research thinking and methodology in a simple and accessible way.

Through this website, I share my research ideas, methodological reflections, and writings on agriculture, policy, and the process of doing research.
